Puja of rudraksha must be done by the can be done by the wearer himself or can be energized by the Gurus, pandits or priests at the temple.

Following procedure should be followed to energize and get the blessings of Rudraksha beads:

Choose an auspicious day and time of wearing, preferably Monday or any specified day.

Arrange all items of blessings after having a bath in the morning with a pure mind and soul.

Sit facing the temple and your Isht Dev, preferably facing northeast or east.

Use Panchaamrit, a mix of unboiled milk, honey, curd, sugar, and ghee.

Keep 9 leaves of the Peepal tree on a plate.

Arrange plates for offering in a puja.

Prepare Dhoop, Diya, incense sticks (Agarbatti), sandal paste, aromatic oil, rice grains, and Ashtagandha.

Offer flowers, fruits, and a coconut.

After all these offerings, wash the Rudraksha with Ganga Jal (holy water).

Place the Rudraksha in front of your Isht Dev and Lord Shiva with 9 leaves of the Peepal tree and chant “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA”. Then, chant the mantra “Om Hreem Namah”.
